Pre-Trip Planning

Here is where can you see what is going on “behind the scenes” of our planning stage.
This will help us stay organized when planning the trip. We are also keeping some notes that we can look back on during our trip for references.
Packing List - This may not be finalized until the day we leave, as this is something that is ever changing. When it is complete, this will be the complete list of what we will be carrying on our backs. We will also add the things we decide not to take with us, so that we can look back and say “Phew, glad we didn’t bring that” or kick ourselves in the butt for not bringing.
Budget - Here we will break out our planned spending for the trip and any pre-trip costs that we have.
Volunteer Work - We plan on volunteering while we travel. We will post any ideas of places we think we might volunteer at or things we want to volunteer our time towards.
Language Schools - This section will be dedicated to the language schools we are looking at taking classes while traveling.
Plane Tickets - One of the many debates with round the world trips is always whether to buy a round the world ticket or to buy point to point tickets. We will list our final decision as well as any tickets that we purchase.
Wish List - You will want to check this one out. This is our wish list for our trip. Feel free to donate anything on the list to us. You have options of what you will get in return. We can list your name on our site next to what you bought for us, we can send you an autographed photo of us with the new gear, we can even make you a card. The choice is yours. Please donate and write it off on your taxes for a charitable contribution (Don’t take my word without the advice of your friendly accountant)
